An Index Theory for Zero Energy Solutions of

 the Planar Anisotropic Kepler Problem

摘要:

In the variational study of singular Lagrange systems, the zero energy solutions play an important role. The anisotropic Kepler problem is such a singular system introduced by physicist M. Gutzwiller to reveal connections between classic and quantum chaos. In this talk, I will show the Morse indices of the zero energy solutions are connected with their oscillating behaviors. The result can also be applied to some problems in celestial mechanics. This is a joint work with Professor Xijun Hu at Shandong University.



报告人简介:余国巍,南开大学陈省身数学研究所特聘研究员。毕业于美国明尼苏达大学,后曾在加拿大多伦多大学,法国巴黎九大/巴黎天文台,意大利都灵大学和美国数学科学研究所(MSRI)从事博士后研究,研究方向为动力系统、天体力学和变分法。
